Boys basketball team travel to the UK

The boys basketball team traveled to the UK over winter break to complete their exchange with the City of Leeds Basketball Academy.  COLBA made the trip back in November to Miami and were hosted by our PTS families. The boys departed for London on December 27 to enjoy sightseeing, history, and basketball.  The first 6 nights all the players were hosted by various COLBA families.  In this time the group played 3 basketball games losing only 1 game by a very small margin to the #1 18U Team in the entire UK and defeating Newcastle Eagle and COLBA in a professional arena.  In addition, day trips were made to York, Leeds City Center, and Newcastle.  At all these stops the team experienced British food, culture and history,  For the final 2 nights of the trip the team traveled to London to tour the city, attend a Tottenham vs Newcastle Premier League soccer match, and enjoy two great team dinners. The trip was a huge success with the Falcons receiving many compliments on manners and sportsmanship.  Parents and players alike agreed this was a once in a lifetime experience!
