Alumni Mentoring Program: Michael Vega-Sanz '14 Speaks to Students About His Company, Lula

On November 2nd, the Investment Club welcomed PTS alum Michael Vega-Sanz, president and cofounder of the successful insurance upstart, Lula. The company provides software that car rental and car-sharing businesses need to process and manage insurance claims.

The Vega-Sanz twins were recently featured in “Miami Inno Under 25,” a roundup of promising South Florida technology professionals who are 25 years old or younger.

At the Investment Club meeting, Vega-Sanz shared how Lula's original vision pivoted after COVID-19 presented a roadblock. Using the pandemic as an impetus for change, the company shifted focus, showing students how challenges can prove fruitful.

After hearing Michael share about Lula, students took the opportunity to ask questions.
